It was down to the line in the Rochester Ladies Club Championship with Jenny Major pipping Carole Prigg by one shot over three rounds.
A close finish saw Major take the title whilst Prigg won the competition on the day with a score of 98/24/74 falling short to take the title by a shot.
On a beautiful sunny day for golf the scores were very close with Carole Prigg being the winner of the day, on a countback with a score of 98/24/74 from Jenny Major with a 95/21/74.
Monthly medal winner was Carole.
Nearest the pin winners were on the 8th Karen Taylor and the 16th Carole Prigg
Winner of the Raffle was Karen Taylor taking a bag of goodies for her exciting overseas travelling, have a great time and we will see you in about a month.

Tim Quinlan continues to enjoy success over the short course, Quinlan combined with Bruce Foster in last Wednesday's 4 ball multiplier with a fine score of 61, from Garry Charnas and Geoff McCarty on a countback from Alex McQuibban and Bruce Bryant all on 59. Charnas won nearest the pin. Next week will be a stableford round over the back nine.
Last Saturday Captain Richard Feuk drew players out of a hat to play his favourite game in a foursomes event played over 18 holes, by the end of the round most players agreed it was harder than they imagined as the pressure was always on to keep the ball in play with each alternate shot.
Big hitting young gun James Walsh and Life Member Ross Lees played some great golf to win division one with 74-9.5 net 64.5, runners up were the inseparable pair of Bruce Major and Robert Vise 92-20 net 72.
Division two winners was another Life Member in Graham Willis and champion footballer fresh from his interleague duties on the MCG, Nathan Marone 82-15.5 net 66.5 from Steven Bubb and Ian Pollard 89-19.5 net 69.5.
The club have been fortunate to gain the following sponsors for nearest the pins for the remainder of the season: Ross Lees 2 shot to the 3rd for 20+ handicappers, Rochester Sports Power 5th, President Ian Clark 8th, 2 shot on 9 James Walsh (Drummonds Bendigo), Campaspe News eagles nest on 12, Graham & Raylee Willis 16th and Moroney's Plumbing 2 shot to the 18th, Lachlan Wilson (3rd), Chris Eales (8th) and Ross Lees (18th) were this weeks winners.
Captain Feuk is eager to arrange a few rounds at Howlong Golf Club over two days in early July, those interested please let him know this week.
