The suc­cess­ful con­sul­tancy will have a sound knowl­edge of the lo­cal gov­ern­ment sec­tor and the various statu­tory re­quire­ments it must meet along with ex­pe­ri­ence in per­form­ing au­dit­ing ser­vices for a multi-dis­ci­plinary busi­ness. EX­PRES­SION OF IN­TER­EST

Au­dit & Risk Com­mit­tee Expressions of in­ter­est are sought for two com­mu­nity mem­bers to join the Cam­paspe Shire Au­dit & Risk Com­mit­tee, an ad­vi­sory com­mit­tee to coun­cil. The com­mit­tee pro­vides in­de­pen­dent and ob­jec­tive ad­vice on mat­ters re­lat­ing to nan­cial and per­for­mance re­port­ing, gover­nance, risk, in­ter­nal con­trols and ac­count­ing dis­clo­sures. Cri­te­ria for ap­point­ment is ex­pe­ri­ence and/or qualifications in at least one of the fol­low­ing ar­eas: ac­count­ing, au­dit­ing, risk man­age­ment, gover­nance or pub­lic sec­tor ex­ec­u­tive man­age­ment. In­de­pen­dent com­mu­nity mem­bers are ap­pointed to the com­mit­tee for a term of up to four years and re­ceive a small al­lowance. Expressions of in­ter­est should be in writ­ing, de­tail­ing ap­pli­cant back­ground, ad­dressed to Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer, Cam­paspe Shire Coun­cil, PO Box 35, Echuca Vic 3564, by Fri­day, 29 June 2018. IM­POUNDED LIVE­STOCK

Cam­paspe Shire Coun­cil has im­pounded two cat­tle (1 Bull, 1 Heifer) un­der the Im­pound­ing of Live­stock Act 1994 on 6 June 2018 from Pep­pertree Lane, Gir­garre. The cat­tle are be­ing held at the Echuca & District Live­stock Ex­change, McKen­zie Road, Echuca. If not claimed af­ter 8 days they will be sold at pub­lic auc­tion at the Ex­change at the next avail­able sale. All en­quiries to Ranger, Tim McCormick on 0407 844 875.

HAVE YOUR SAY

Get­ting roads ready for harvest sea­son Cam­paspe Shire Coun­cil is invit­ing larger agri­cul­tural pro­duc­ers to pro­vide com­ment on what gravel and earth roads they plan to utilise in ad­vance of this sea­son’s harvest. Feed­back forms are avail­able on coun­cil’s web­site, un­der the “have your say” sec­tion and can be emailed through to shire@cam­paspe.vic.gov.au by 30 June.

ROAD CLOSED

Bolton Street, Echuca 25 June to 28 June Road works on Bolton Street, be­tween Warren and Con­nelly Streets, con­tinue. Works in­clude the replacement of the foot­path, kerb and channel (gut­ter) and road sur­face. The road will be closed to all traf­fic, in­clud­ing lo­cal res­i­dents, from Mon­day, 25 June to Thurs­day, 28 June. Pedestrian ac­cess will con­tinue for lo­cal res­i­dents. All ve­hi­cles should be parked out­side the area dur­ing these dates. Res­i­dents have been di­rectly ad­vised of the tem­po­rary re­stric­tion to ac­cess.

FREE BUSI­NESS EN­ERGY FO­RUM

Wed­nes­day, 13 June Cam­paspe busi­nesses are in­vited to at­tend an en­ergy fo­rum at 6pm on Wed­nes­day, 13 June at Rad­cliffes Echuca, to learn about cost sav­ing mea­sures, the ben­e­fits of an en­ergy au­dit and op­por­tu­ni­ties for fund­ing and/or nanc­ing for any up­grades to plant and equip­ment. IM­MU­NI­SA­TION SES­SIONS

Tues­day, 19 June Kyabram Com­mu­nity Learn­ing Cen­tre. 9 - 10am Limited stock of u vac­ci­na­tions is cur­rently avail­able for chil­dren aged 6 months - up to 5 years (5 years old’s don’t qual­ify), over 65s and peo­ple con­sid­ered high risk (di­a­bet­ics, preg­nant ladies, etc) only. At this stage, with the short­age span­ning across Vic­to­ria and NSW, the vac­cine is not avail­able to peo­ple out­side of these risk groups. Drainage pipe replacement and relining works con­tinue in Echuca and Ton­gala – part of the shire wide drainage pipe re­newal pro­gram.
