Keep an eye out for care letter

Campaspe News - - NEWS -

IF YOU or a loved one is waiting in the national queue for a Home Care Package, you will receive a letter 90 days before it is assigned.

The ‘readiness letter’ is intended to help recipients take the first steps to make an informed choice about their care needs, as well as shortlisting an approved home care provider, such as Rochester and Elmore District Health Service, in their local area.

REDHS provides local support and services to assist people to maintain their independence, health and community participation and to help them live comfortably and safely in their own home, for as long as possible.

This local service also has no start-up, reassessment or exit fees during the life of a Home Care Package.

If you are waiting for your government– funded package to become available, REDHS is able to provide a subsidised service in the meantime — subject to assessment by Regional Assessment Service and their deeming of eligibility.
