Colbinabbin will be joining silo art trail

Campaspe News - - NEWS -

THERE will be one more stop on the silo art trail thanks to a group of Colbinabbin locals and the Victorian government’s funding scheme Pick My Project.

The partnership between the Colbinabbin Country Hotel and Vic Feeds saw committed community members apply for funding through the funding initiative.

And the government has now injected $112,500 into the project.

Instrumental in organising the funding was Sadie Vale, who is very excited her town will have silo art.

‘‘Everyone I’ve spoken to around town is so happy,’’ Sadie said.

‘‘I think this could make a real impact on the town and the surrounding areas.

‘‘We will now be the closest silo to Melbourne and with wineries close by, it will be a great link to bring tourists to the area.

‘‘Now we have the dollars, we will sit down, plan, and engage with the community. We really want the community to be involved — they have been involved with the project every step of the way so far.

‘‘We really want to tell a story with our silos so we will be seeking out ideas and suggestions from everyone.’’

Mary-Anne Morgan, Sadie Vale and Carolyn Meyer are teaming up to bring tourists to Colbinabbin.
