DIY DRILL MOD
When things go majorly wrong on the tracks, a good 12V drill can work wonders. Whether it’s to drill new holes to bolt things back together again, or to drill out that bloody snapped axle stud!
A top modification is to make some electrical cables up that plug your drill directly to your vehicle’s battery. About 6mm automotive electrical cable should do the trick. Simply attach two female crimp terminals on the end to plug into the drills terminals (remove the drills battery), and put two alligator clips on the other end to hook up to your vehicle’s battery. Remember not to bugger up your positive and negative terminals and, hey presto! You’ve got a drill with never-ending power!
