From Winton, follow the WintonJundah Road for 18km south to Bladensburg Homestead.
Accessible to conventional vehicles with high clearance in dry weather, the park’s scenic drive – Route of the River Gum – begins 5km north of the homestead and continues 12km south to Bough Shed Hole camping area and on to Skull Hole and Logan Falls. Scrammy Drive (high-clearance 4WD only) leads further afield to Scrammy Gorge and Lookout.
Suitable for camper trailers and tents, the bush camp at Bough Shed Hole provides wheelchairaccessible toilets and charges $6.15/person and $24.60/family (there is no charge for kids under five years).
Bring drinking water and take away all rubbish. Pets and generators are not permitted, and mobile phone reception is limited.
Close to Winton, the spacious Long Waterhole is a great free camp suitable for all kinds of rigs (no facilities).
Avoid summer as temperatures top 40˚C and flooding rains can inhibit travel. Expect milder conditions from April to September.
