From Win­ton, fol­low the Win­tonJun­dah Road for 18km south to Bladensburg Home­stead.

Ac­ces­si­ble to con­ven­tional ve­hi­cles with high clear­ance in dry weather, the park’s scenic drive – Route of the River Gum – be­gins 5km north of the home­stead and con­tin­ues 12km south to Bough Shed Hole camp­ing area and on to Skull Hole and Lo­gan Falls. Scrammy Drive (high-clear­ance 4WD only) leads fur­ther afield to Scrammy Gorge and Look­out.

Suit­able for cam­per trail­ers and tents, the bush camp at Bough Shed Hole pro­vides wheelchairac­ces­si­ble toi­lets and charges $6.15/per­son and $24.60/fam­ily (there is no charge for kids un­der five years).

Bring drink­ing wa­ter and take away all rub­bish. Pets and gen­er­a­tors are not per­mit­ted, and mo­bile phone re­cep­tion is lim­ited.

Close to Win­ton, the spa­cious Long Wa­ter­hole is a great free camp suit­able for all kinds of rigs (no fa­cil­i­ties).

Avoid summer as tem­per­a­tures top 40˚C and flood­ing rains can in­hibit travel. Ex­pect milder con­di­tions from April to Septem­ber.
