Airport noise is costly

Canning Times - - NEWS -

HOPES for an independent review of airport noise could be dashed by the City of Canning.

The item is due to be discussed at an agenda briefing tonight.

Councillor Jesse Jacobs raised the matter on June 20 and the council agreed to seek a quote to review the revised Perth Airport aviation development plan and associated data. The airport plans to expand early next year and the independent review is expected to cost about $29,000.

City officers suggest not proceeding with the quote from To70 Aviation, instead encouraging the chief executive to continue talking with Perth Airport to get regular updates.
