STU­DENTS at Lyn­wood Se­nior High School got close and per­sonal with a wedge-tailed ea­gle and rep­tiles as part of Sus­tain­abil­ity Week.

The school hosted its sixth an­nual sus­tain­abil­ity week cul­mi­nat­ing in an expo on Au­gust 11.

More than 30 ex­hibitors rang­ing from gov­ern­ment or­gan­i­sa­tions, univer­sity clubs and com­mu­nity groups at­tended the expo.

Ac­tiv­i­ties in­cluded an as­sem­bly per­for­mance fea­tur­ing singer and sto­ry­teller Gina Williams, ac­com­pa­nied by gui­tarist Guy Ghouse.

Other at­trac­tions in­cluded a show­ing of the school’s indige­nous six sea­sons gar­den, a mu­sic con­cert fea­tur­ing mu­si­cal in­stru­ments made from ev­ery­day waste prod­ucts, a book ex­change and a fash­ion pa­rade high­light­ing re­cy­cled cloth­ing.
