Canning Times - - EDUCATION MATTERS -

THE new Early Childhood Centre at Queen of Apostles School in Riverton has made a huge difference to the kindergarten and pre-primary children this year.

Built at a cost of nearly $3.3 million with financial support from both the Federal and State governments, the centre has provided the children and families with a modern, contemporary, 21st century learning environment.

Moveable glass walls enable the staff to completely open the rooms to the outdoor playground areas, enabling a seamless integration of indoor and outdoor learning activities.

The design features plenty of natural light and ventilation, with airconditioning in summer designed to create an air-flow that keeps the rooms cool while still providing freedom of access to the outdoor areas.

Internal moveable walls also enable the classrooms to connect to a central multipurpose space, providing additional space for extra activities or breakout groups to work and play in.

Queen of Apostles School is at 108 Tribute Street, East Riverton. Visit www.qoa.wa.edu.au or call 9457 4913.
