GREEN HOUSES OPEN
SUSTAINABLE House Day will see about 30 WA homes opening their doors to the public on Sunday, September 17, in a move to inspire people towards ‘greener’ living.
Established in 2001, the national event enables the public to see and learn from environmentally responsible homes in Australia.
Visitors to the homes can expect to learn how to lower energy bills and understand the principles of good home design, as well as get tips and advice on solar power, home batteries, off-grid living, innovative building materials and more.
Homes will be open to the public between 10am and 4pm and all visitors must register to attend at www.sustainablehouseday.com to obtain the addresses to the open houses.
