Let the good times roll
A BULL Creek tradie aged in his 30s has celebrated a $3 million Saturday Lotto win with a sausage roll.
Still wearing his high-vis top and hard hat, the man said he was on his morning tea break and was keen to grab a sausage roll to take back to work.
“I bet that’s a first; Lotto winner buys sausage roll,” he said. “I haven’t caught a wink of sleep so I’ll probably add a coffee to the order too."
The man said he would likely use the winnings to pay off his mortgage.
He said his wife could not believe his good fortune.
“No requests from her yet; she still won’t have it that we’ve won,” he said.
“We both went off to work this morning like nothing’s happened."
The winning ticket was sold at Leeming Lottery Centre & Newsagency and was WA’s 54th division one win for the year. Store owner Colin Doyle said it was the second division one win his business had enjoyed in just over 12 months.
“Late last year, we sold a division one winning ticket worth almost half a million dollars,” Mr Doyle said.
