Shed loads of funds needed

Canning Times - - NEWS - D475435

THE Station Street Men’s Shed raffled a handmade dollhouse at the recent Canning Show but it is still in need of funds to keep its work stations well stocked.

The Men’s Shed Christmas Appeal aims to raise enough to replace aged fridges and freezers, and replenish its supplies of materials for community projects.

The men’s shed is a social club, with workshops for woodwork, metalwork, and crafts.

“Our primary focus for fundraising is for the purchase of a new and much needed fridge and freezer for the club’s kitchen,” Daniel Taylor, from the Men’s Shed, said. “This will cost approximately $1800.

“Of particular need in the wood workshop is a wood thicknesser; this would cost about $1500.”

Donations can be made at www. mycause.com.au/page/165159 or directly to the Shed. Call Brian on 0468 434 647 or follow https:// fb.me/Station.Street.Mens.Shed.
