Call for interest in dairy depot site
A MASTERS Dairy depot site on Channon Street in Bentley is up for grabs.
The depot has stood at the site for nearly 20 years and spans 2.9 ha.
Raine & Horne Commercial’s Simon Matthews is calling for expressions of interest in proposed Lot 2.
“In an area starved of affordable development opportunities, this one of a kind land parcel will be appealing to both developers and owner-occupiers,” he said.
Lion Dairy and Drinks is a Japaneseowned company that markets Masters in WA.
The business is investing more than $40 million in its Bentley dairy manufacturing by modernising the plant and consolidating depots into a single WA distribution centre at Radium Street.
The development plan is due to be completed in early 2018.
The sole depot is already operational and the warehouse operations have been outsourced to Linfox.
About 30 redundancies resulted in the changeover last year and all were within the logistics function on site at Bentley.
The distribution centre accepts milk from 29 WA farmers.
Expressions of interest close on Friday, December 8.
