Parking cost revealed

Canning Times - - NEWS -

CAROUSEL customers will be charged $3 an hour from July 23, with the first three hours free.

Patrons with a movie ticket or who have spent $200 at the shopping centre will have the free period raised to four hours.

Free parking is available for ACROD permit holders who register with customer service and people who enter after 5.30pm and leave by 6am.

People who park for eight hours or more will be charged $20.

The tariffs were recently announced on the shopping centre’s website, promoted as Park+.

A spokeswoman for Westfield said the shopping centre was working with the Department of Transport and City of Canning on improving access to Carousel.

“This includes upgrades to surrounding infrastructure, improving public transport access, the implementation of car bays to safely facilitate passenger pick-up and drop-off, dedicated Uber bays and improved cycling and pedestrian access,” she said.

Westfield would not disclose its financial contribution to the access improvements.
