ZONTA House Refuge Association is a finalist in the Telstra Business Awards for the category of social change maker.
The awards are open to organisations with positive social impact at the core of their purpose.
The awards also recognise groups that apply innovative solutions to address social issues.
Zonta House is a refuge organisation which also offers programs to empower women.
Chief executive Kelda Opperman said the team was excited about the news of reaching the state final.
“This is exceptional recognition of our organisation, our service delivery, strategy and vision,” she said.
“Congratulations everyone and everything crossed for the (state) awards night on Thursday, August 16.”
Zonta House lodged a 10,000 word application with a two-minute video to enter the awards.
An interview followed with two judges at Zonta’s Willetton head office.
Winners of each category will go to the national awards night in September.
