Home filled with concrete ideas

Canning Times - - RESIDENTIAL -

A LOVE of natural materials was the focus for the clients of this North Beach property by Willettonbased Prima Homes.

The use of off-form grey finish concrete throughout has created a truly industrial look from the burnished concrete floors, offform in-situ ceilings and columns adding the structural elements to the home.

Prefinished Barestone internal cladding panels provide a raw, contemporary finish, as does the Maxline colorbond sheeting to the external walls.

Hydronic in-slab heating uses heated water to distribute warmth throughout the home, while Vental external venetian blinds are automated to protect the home.

There are commercial profile window frames throughout with Germanmade Profilit U-shaped glass at the staircase creating a stunning feature.

To make full use of the ocean views, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is on the upper floor opening out on to a balcony.

On a 10m-wide block, the home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a media room downstairs has access to a terrace and views of the 15m lap pool.

“By constructing this unique home to be as natural as possible, many additional services such as bricklaying, painting, plastering, carpets and timber floors were not needed,” Prima Homes general manager Ryan Secola said.
