Choir sings up a sisterly storm
FORGET the big guns, the Esk Community Choir has brought out the big nuns.
The choir sang at the Gayndah Town Hall last Saturday evening to a keen crowd of all ages.
Opening with a raucous number from the movie Sister Act, the women singers dressed in nun habits and put on an impressive performance of song and dance.
The choir performed duets, all male performances and whole choir songs.
The choir covered a range of genres throughout the night, from contemporary numbers to music from major musical productions.
Established in 1978, the Esk Community Choir lives by its motto “service in song”, and visited Gayndah as part of its Outback Tour.
