Central and North Burnett Times - - YOUR WEEKLY TV GUIDE -

THE Queensland Dairy Organisation State Conference has wrapped up for another year. Dairy industry research is leading the charge with technology. Theworld is sending positive signals about its increasing demand for milk and dairy products, and the growing Australian and Queensland population will also be boosting demand domestically for fresh milk and dairy products. But in Queensland the industry’s farm gate milk price does not reflect the real value of fresh milk and farmers are being sent the opposite market signals to what would seem the case in the bigger picture. The QDO annual general meeting and research tour was an opportunity for farmers to gather and discuss these issues, and for the industry to chart a path forward.
