WOOD­CHOP­PING aces Danny Staib and Ter­ena Din­gle were the pride of the Cen­tral and North Bur­nett at this year’s Royal Mel­bourne Show.

The duo placed first in the Jack and Jill Dou­ble-Handed Saw­ing Hand­i­cap (375mm) event re­cently.

Coal­stoun Lakes res­i­dent, Staib, also took out first place in the Un­der­hand and Stand­ing Block Com­bi­na­tion Cham­pi­onship (275mm), and placed in the top three in three other events.

Gayn­dah State School teacher, Din­gle, also fin­ished third in two Jill and Jill Dou­ble-Handed saw­ing events.

The cham­pion wood­chop­pers will be back in the Bur­nett for the Mt Perry Ax­e­men Sawyers An­nual Wood­chop on Oc­to­ber 13.
