Family on the greens

Central and North Burnett Times - - LOCAL SPORT -

THE grief of the past six months was put aside as members and relatives of the Marshall family took to the greens of the Biggenden Bowls Club on Sunday for a fun day of bowls.

Each year the Marshall Memorial Day is held to commemorate Jim Marshall’s involvement and love of the sport. But in April, son Morrison died from injuries sustained in a farming accident.

Proceeds of the day’s raffle will support the Morrison Marshall Urban Accommodation for Rural Families Fund.

Les Marshall’s team of Neville Radel, Jacinta Pohlmann and Sue Marshall were the overall winners on the day. No one went home empty handed as there were prizes for all teams.
