Green thumbs have some fun at luncheon
ANOVELTY game at Saturday’s Lunch in the Garden was to find one’s kiss personality.
Patrons at the Biggenden fundraiser for the Cancer Council Queensland were asked to don lipstick, pucker up and kiss a photograph of Hugh Jackman.
From the imprint each per- son’s personalitywas defined.
They included handles with care, livin’ out loud, passion forward, divine diva, so younique, lucky charmer and glow girl.
The day was held at Bruce and Jane McDonald’s Bluffview Rd home at Biggenden and raised $380 with $100 going towards Madonna Ryan’s Challenge for Cancer.
Ms Ryan was enthusiastic about her Relay for Life in Bundaberg this weekend and her fundraiser for AGL Helicopters in November.
BIEDO regional garden coordinator Prue Lengwas in attendance to gauge interest in the community garden proposed for the town.
Ms Leng said the McDonald garden was magnificent.
“It is a great example of what can be done in the area,” she said.
“It has what we call a borrowed landscape with Mt Walsh in the background.
“I am pleased to see echiums can be grown in this area.”
