PARTICIPANTS at the second of three Grow Your Business Online workshops learnt how search engines work and how to drive people to their websites.
The North Burnett Region Futures team, on behalf of the North Burnett Regional Council and Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils, is making the free workshops available to help local businesses survive and prosper.
With more than 80% of Australia’s population now online, the digital economy, driven by consumer demand, is going from strength to strength, and rregional businesses must position themselves effectively online in order to succeed in this new digital era.
The Grow Your Business Online series is educating businesses across the region on what a digital marketing strategy is, the key components that make up a digital marketing strategy and then howto apply this to their own business.
Presenter Daniel Hunjas is managing director of Edge Marketing, a regional digital marketing company that has bucked the global financial crisis by more than doubling its size.
The hands-on workshops teach atttendees about website strategies, ranking strategies, digital re-marketing techniques and social media all under the umbrella of creating an overall digital marketing strategy.
In the first workshop, Mr Hunjas taught participants howto develop theirwebsites and make them generators of profit for their businesses.
The final workshop will be held on Monday, October 22, and will explain who to engage and how to convert customers with email and SMS and how to use social media to grow businesses.
