Citroens cruise Gayn­dah’s streets

THE French Con­nec­tion was in Gayn­dah last week­end, when the Citroen 2CV Club of Queens­land vis­ited.

Twenty club mem­bers en­joyed the town’s hos­pi­tal­ity and sights, as they vis­ited Gayn­dah res­i­dent Peter Houth’s col­lec­tion of rare Citroens.

Les Hay and Mr Houth pro­vided break­fast in the gar­den near the car col­lec­tion.

Break­fast was served af­ter the Citroen club spent the night in Gayn­dah.

Mr Houth said the col­lec­tion was “known world­wide as Col­l­lec­tion La Mai­son de Citroen”.

“We started in Her­vey Bay and trav­elled in con­voy to en­joy an evening in Gayn­dah,” Mr Houth said.

“The club has vis­ited Gayn­dah mul­ti­ple times be­fore.”
