Chamber news

Central and North Burnett Times - - OPINION -

THE next meeting is a sponsored breakfast with an Economic Development North Burnett Region Futures Program speaker and Bendigo Bank as host. The cost will be $10 per head. The breakfast venue will be at the Grand Hote, l with arrival time at 6am and start at 6.30am.

This event is for all to attend, with the first 30 people to be accepted.

Now onto Chamber business. As we are still in our infancy and in the settingup stage for our incorporation, the membership base is now growing, but we still need more. Our meetings are only about 1-2 hours once a month, and we aim to promote all Biggenden has to offer.

As for our first big event, the deal is almost signed and sealed. We are just looking for some support and need to raise sponsorship money to make the New Year’s Eve fireworks display at Paradise Dam a free event. There will be a 9pm display for the kids and midnight display for the adults. We hope to get some local charities to run some stalls and maybe a bus from Biggenden to the dam if funding permits.

Our new webpage is on its way. In the meantime, like us on Facebook. Just search for Biggenden Chamber of Commerce.
