PEOPLE power helped St Joseph’s primary school clean up a new area for students to use.

About 40 parents and students turned up to a working bee on Saturday morning to help clean up the area near the Burnett River banks that had recently been cleared.

Principal Liam Dougherty said he was looking forward to making use of the new area.

“It will be perfect for the school,” Mr Dougherty said.

“We are going to get it grassed, and it will be really lovely to sit out there when it’s finished.

“There were a lot of rocks and branches, so we removed them and raked over all that.”
