Truck comes un­stuck

STOCK feed was left strewn across a busy road af­ter a truck rolled on Tues­day.

State Emer­gency Ser­vice work­ers redi­rected traf­fic while the Bur­nett Hwyat Gayn­dah was blocked for more than five hours.

The truck had turned into Del­gan­gal Rd af­ter the Gayn­dah Bridge when it over­turned and landed in the on­com­ing lane at 6am on Tues­day.

A tow truck from Gympie was called to set the truck up­right and a crowd of on­look­ers gath­ered towatch as the ma­chine was hauled back onto its wheels.

Gayn­dah Po­lice Se­nior Con­sta­ble Wy­att Telford said the driver had “made it round the cor­ner and it’s lifted up and just gone over”.

He said the driver of the truck had sus­tained “a cou­ple of cuts on his arms from the glass”.
