MALARGA Bazadaise breeders Rodney and Karen Johannesen opened their property to visitors on the weekend for their annual open day.

Mr Johannesen said he was extremely pleased to have about 50 people visit during the day.

“We had people from Brisbane, Darling Downs, Surat, Bundaberg and everywhere in between,” Mr Johannesen said.

“We thought the day went off very, very well.

“We got a lot of positive feedback, we sold some bulls and one female and received lots of positive inquiry.”

A highlight of the day was the Bazadaise steak barbecue lunch.

“Some of the comments we heard from people included that it was the most beautiful piece of steak they had eaten,” Mr Johannesen said.

Therewas a lot of interest in the Johannesen’s unique poll bazadaise cattle with people rolling in for the day from 9am.

The Johannesens are already planning next year’s event.
