Steers 200c/kg at Mur­gon sale

RATES in Mur­gon were firm on the pre­vi­ous week for the 400 yarded.

How­ever the min­i­mal rain­fall re­ceived over the week­end was not enough to re­store con­fi­dence to re­stock­ers.

Num­bers were drawn from Gayn­dah, Ban Ban Springs, Boon­dooma, Kin­garoy and Mur­gon ar­eas.

On the day, 365kg grain as­sisted li­mousin steers on ac­count of N Labuschewski, Tin­goora, sold for $727 at 200c/kg.

A and K Zerner, Mur­gon, sold 390kg drought mas­ter steers for $704 at 179c.

RH Cross Hold­ings sold a draft of 84 santa, charo­lais and drought mas­ter cross steers.

The three pens of santa steers sold to a top of $646 at 197c av­er­ag­ing $612 for 193c.

The char­bray steers sold for $563 or 191c.

The 84 head av­er­aged $575 for 313kg at 184c.

Light con­di­tioned char­bray weaner steers sold for $390 while fresh vealer steers from Cush­nie sold for $410 at 189c.

Char­bray weaner heifers sold to $534 with 229kg char­bray vealer heifers from Wondai sell­ing for $456 at 200c.

Vealer heifers from J and A Gle­ich, Pros­ton, sold to pro­ces­sors for $450 weigh­ing 225kg.
