Boondooma Dam: Nice bass and goldens caught by bouncing masked vibes off the bottom as well as jigging SMAK ice jigs around the start of the Stuart and Boyne. Some nice fish coming on spinner baits in the timbered areas of the dam and slow trolling green and gold SMAK 18ft divers has also produced some nice fish. Most of the fish being landed in the timbered areas of the dam. Some good goldens and jew caught on worms and live shrimp. No reports of red claw as yet. Bjelke-Petersen Dam: Live bait seems to be working best at the moment. Goldens have been caught on the troll with hard and soft bodied jackalls. Some big golden perch and bass being caught on salt water yabbies and worms. Lake Somerset: Fishing great at the moment with blades working well. Pelican Point and Queen St still the best areas to fish. Live bait has produced some nice fish as with salt water yabbies. Soft plastics and masked vibes working well around Pelican Point. Coastal: Bream, flathead and whiting around the Noosa River. The Maroochy River has been producing grunter bream and whiting between Twin Waters and the Motorway Bridge. Trevally, grunter bream and giant herring around the pylons of the Motorway Bridge. Tarpon, flathead and school jew along the Bli Bli reach, mangrove jack near the Bli Bli Bridge and jew at night at Yinni Street at Maroochydore. Flathead and whiting near Baxters Jetty at Sandgate also. Offshore: Snapper, tuskfish, pearl perch, trag jew and moses perch at Rainbow last week. Snapper and trag jew on the 36s east of Southport Seaway also. Conditions in most other places have been unfavourable.
