MEMBERS of the Biggenden Amateur Fishing Club combined a weekend of fishing with the club’s annual meeting at Boondooma Dam.

The weather was perfect for fishing and it proved to be a very rewarding weekend for many of the members.

Junior angler Johanna Kelly snagged a 41cm golden perch.

And she had the biggest smile out of everyone!

The club had a busy and productive year, in both fishing and fundraising.

The successful fundraising for the year enabled the club to donate $500 to Rotary Lodge House in Bundaberg; $200 to Biggenden Amateur Swimming Club and $250 to Paradise Stocking Association.

The fundraising also helped the club to run and host its Anglers Educational Fishing Days for Kids in the community each year.

A monster Christmas raffle will be drawn on December 21 and will be the club’s last fundraising venture for the year.

Tickets can be bought at a number of business houses in Biggenden.

The Biggenden Amateur Fishing Club thanked the public and businesses for their generous support throughout the year.
