Burnett girls show bite in AFL Qld comp
GIRLS from the North Burnett have represented the Central Coast in the AFL Queensland under 17 Youth Girls Championships.
The annual championships were held in Cairns on three days from October 25.
Six local girls played for the Central Coast Cobras, a team made up of players from Mackay to Hervey Bay.
The Cobras ended the carnival in equal fourth position, after playing teams from Brisbane, south Queensland, north Queensland, the Cape and the Sunshine Coast.
The girls said they enjoyed the experience and were looking forward to playing again in next year’s carnival.
CENTRAL COAST COBRAS: The North Burnett’s Taylor Bygrave, Annika Darlington, Megan Ostwald, Lucy Thompson, Amber Farmer and Sammi Jo Pointon competed in the AFL Queensland Youth Girls Championships.
