Central and North Burnett Times - - SES WEEK 2012 -

ANY venue that has seen 140 years of racing will go through a lot of changes in its lifetime.

And the Mt Perry Race Club is no different.

The club is entering a newera after significant upgrades to the facilities have vastly improved the safety of the general public, jockeys and horses.

A complete outside rail has been installed, starting gates have been fully enclosed, saddle enclosures are fully fenced and steward mounds have been constructed around the track.

Mt Perry Race Club media officer Joy Jensen told the Central and North Burnett Times the amount of work completed was “huge”.

“It’s very high quality work to ensure safety is paramount,” she said.

“Thanks to Evolution Mining who have provided steel and funded us very generously and in general have given great support.”
