Cup lunch on the money

Central and North Burnett Times - - LOCAL SPORT -

THE race that stops a nation had Mt Perry in party mode.

The P&C fundraiser, Melbourne Cup Lunch, entertained a crowd of the most fashionable people in Mt Perry.

Jared Witmark set up a projector screen so the race could be watched live and larger than life.

Parents helped with setting up a buffet and catered the event.

Councillor John Bowen had all the luck and won the lucky door prize raffle.

Karen Bryant was awarded as the best dressed lady and David Rofewas the best dressed gentleman.

Margaret Mollenhagen claimed the prize for the best hat/fascinator.

The event was a great success and the P&C plan to do it all again for next year’s race.
