WIN­NING team at Sun­day’s one day men’s fours at Biggen­den Bowls Club were the Mary­bor­ough Ser­vices team of Steve Henry, Bob Hen­ningsen, Clive and An­tho­nyWil­liams. On be­half of spon­sors Bur­nett Livestock and Realty Be­van Wade pre­sented the prize­money and con­grat­u­lated the club on a suc­cess­ful carnival. Run­ners up were J Esse, T McCaffery, R Royan and R Bunn of Woodgate while the Gayn­dah team of K Put­ney, N McCosker, A Har­ris and P Bennett took out the third place prize­money. BIN­JOUR

PRES­I­DENT’S Day at Bin­jour Bowls Club was a great suc­cess. Club pres­i­dent Barry Wen­gel hosted 12 teams from throughout the Bur­nett Dis­trict, play­ing two games of 18 ends. Win­ners of the day were Barry Wen­gel, Kevin Slack, Jack Krause and Brian Pry­goda of Bin­jour Club with two wins and a to­tal of 40 points. Run­ners-up were Roger Stubbs, Gwen Stubbs, LynWoodall and Barry Woodall from Monto Club with two wins and a to­tal of 37 points. Sports­men’s prizes were awarded to John Stott, Arnie Wil­liams, Gary Dar­ling­ton and Neville (Nifty) Lamkin of Bin­jour. Up­com­ing events at Bin­jour in­clude the Dis­trict Pres­i­dent’s Day this Sun­day, Novem­ber 18, and the Club Christ­mas Party and Cham­pi­onship Tro­phy pre­sen­ta­tions on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8.
