PRESIDENT’S Day at Binjour Bowls Club was a great success. Club president Barry Wengel hosted 12 teams from throughout the Burnett District, playing two games of 18 ends. Winners of the day were Barry Wengel, Kevin Slack, Jack Krause and Brian Prygoda of Binjour Club with two wins and a total of 40 points. Runners-up were Roger Stubbs, Gwen Stubbs, LynWoodall and Barry Woodall from Monto Club with two wins and a total of 37 points. Sportsmen’s prizes were awarded to John Stott, Arnie Williams, Gary Darlington and Neville (Nifty) Lamkin of Binjour. Upcoming events at Binjour include the District President’s Day this Sunday, November 18, and the Club Christmas Party and Championship Trophy presentations on Saturday, December 8.
