Looking through engineer’s eyes
THE opening of Ross Driver’s first solo exhibition Through an Engineer’s Eyes at Mt Perry was a great success with many sales on the day.
More than 70 people attended from as far away as Brisbane, Gladstone, and Miriam Vale as well as Bundaberg and Mt Perry.
They were there to support Driver and admire his 57 watercolour paintings and the many, many drawings and sketches displayed in albums in the gallery.
Driver has only been working in watercolour for a year and itwas therefore an exceptional exhibition considering this.
The exhibition was opened by Denise Vockler, who has worked with Driver throughout his career.
Vockler is the daughter of the late Pat Augustine after whom the gallery – The Pat Augustine Culture Centre and Art Gallery – is named.
