Central and North Burnett Times - - SCHOOL NEWS -

EARLIER this month 140 students converged on Eidsvold State School and surrounding facilities for the biannual Cultural Camp for small schools.

This was the first year thecamp had been held in Eidsvold and organisers said it was a success.

“This camp gives the opportunity for the students of the local small schools to meet and mix and allows them to take part in activities thatmay not always be available to them,” Boynewood State School principal Vicki Rogers said.

“The camp is organised by staff from Eids- vold, Abercorn, Boynewood, Monogorilby and Binjour Plateau State Schools and we thank them for making this event such a highlight.

“Students had a fantastic time participating in all different types of activities such as science workshops, manual arts workshop, golf, lawn bowls, swimming, circus performance, cartooning, RM Williams Centre and heaps more.

“The disco was a great event for the older students and I must say we do have some enthusiastic and interesting dancers.”
