SCOUTS were seeing double as they sorted donated second-hand glasses.

The Gayndah Scouts Group has joined forces with the local Lions Club for the Recycle for Sight program.

The scouts sorted through more than 200 pairs to find those that could give the gift of sight to people in third-world countries.

Recycle for Sight is a Lions initiative in which specs are collected, repaired and cleaned before being sent overseas.

The local scouts were hap- py to help... and try on the craziest pairs of spectacles they could find.

The Queensland Recycle for Sight program has sent more than 12 million pairs of glasses overseas in 12 years.

If you have any old glasses to donate, they can be left at Gayndah’s LJ Hookers.
