Man jailed for sex act

GAYN­DAH Mag­is­trates Court sen­tenced a man to six-months’ im­pris­on­ment with two months to be served, af­ter he com­mit­ted an in­de­cent act.

Po­lice Pros­e­cu­tor Con­sta­ble Vicki Kennedy-Grills told court that a 46-year-old man was seen “mas­tur­bat­ing while ac­cess­ing pornog­ra­phy” at a Mun­dub­bera in­ter­net cafe on Septem­ber 4.

Const Kennedy-Grills told the Novem­ber 22 court ses­sion the man had ac­cessed pornog­ra­phy web­sites and “be­came aroused”.

The man had pre­vi­ously breached pro­ba­tion in 2010, com­mit­ting a sim­i­lar act.

The court heard that he had re­ceived his fifth charge of wil­ful ex­po­sure in 1997.

The man’s pro­ba­tion was three months im­pris­on­ment, sus­pended for three years.
