THE success of last year’s Christmas in the Park event, run by the kindy, has encouraged organisers to make it an annual event.

“The initial idea was to bring together all members of the community to celebrate family, friends and the Christmas spirit at this special time of year,” kindy publicity officer Michelle Chicken said.

“We had such great feedback last year that Christmas in the Park is on again this year.”

This year’s free event will be held on Friday, December 14, at Archer Park from 5pm.

New to this year’s pro- gram is a long-time Mundubbera favourite – toad races.

Other highlights include Santa, fireworks, children’s rides and amusements, entertainment and music, family fun races and events for all ages, a bar, food and stalls.

The ham wheel which was to be held on the night will now be held at the Mundubbera Bowls Club on December 7 in conjunction with a seafood night prepared by Kel’s Katering.

Mundubbera Kindy wants this year’s Christmas in the Park to be better than last year to thank the Mundubbera community for its amazing support. ■ Contact Vanessa on 0439 322 601.
