MONTO horse enthusiasts have attended a clinic under the guidance of former Olympian Guy Creighton.

The Pony Club of Queensland course building clinic was held at the Crompton Park Pony Club grounds in Rockhampton.

Monto instructors Kirsten Burgess, Linda Brown and Annette Evans gained knowledge in judging showjumping and how to build a course.

Annette Evans said Creighton was very knowledgeable.

“The highlight was being shown different jumps and how to build a course,” she said.

Burgess has course building and show jumping accreditation and will train for state certificates. Brown and Evans are probationary show jumping judges and course builders.

Creighton represented Australia in showjumping in 1976 at Montreal and 1984 in Los Angeles.
