Dancers thrill with magical moves

Central and North Burnett Times - - OPINION -

BIGGENDEN dancers have thrilled their audience at the Dance N Move Productions concert at the Isis Cultural Centre in Childers.

Biggenden was joined by a Wallaville and Childers-based dance group and filled the hall with movement, colour, timing and energy.

The dance school performed a mix of jazz, tap, acrobatics, hip hop, modern and classical to the delight of the audience, which packed the cultural centre.

Dance teacher Tara Thompson said the Biggenden students had come a longway since they started this year.

“The majority of them had never danced before,” she said.

“They are quite dedicated to their dance classes and this showed through in their performances.

“Plus the parents are so dedicated to their children’s sport, which is really, really great.”

Dance N Move’s dancers have also raised the bar this year with their exam results.

Every dancer who did exams received an honours grade in the Ca- pricorn Ballet and Arts Academy examinations.

Next year classes at Biggenden have been changed from a Friday to Thursday afternoon.
