Growing a mo was all the go

MONTO’S Movember campaign has come to an end.

The fundraiser concluded with a social cricket match and shave-off at the town’s sports ground with a crowd of about 50 bidding farewell to the event for 2012.

Approximately $2000 was raised thanks to generous help from the Monto community to raise awareness of men’s health initiatives.

Organiser Natalie Pointon, who also organised the Chicks in Pink breast cancer campaign, said she was impressed.

“Iwas very happy,” she said.

“I didn’t think anyone would sign up so I was thrilled to see the number who did turn out.

“Please sign up for next year to make it even bigger.”
