CHRISTMAS in the Park 2012 promises to be even more successful than last year.

The 2011 event run by the kindy was so well received and supported that organisers decided to make it an annual event.

“The initial idea of the event was to bring together all members of the community to celebrate family, friends and the Christmas spirit at this special time of year,” publicity officer Michelle Chicken said.

“We had such great feedback last year that Christmas in the Park is on again this year.”

This year’s event will be held on Friday, December 14, at Archer Park starting at 5pm, and admission is free.

New to this year’s program is the long-time Mundubbera favourite, toad racing.

Other highlights include Santa, fireworks, children’s rides and amusements, entertainment and music, family fun races and events for all ages, bar, food and stalls.

The ham wheel, whichwas to be held on the night, will now be held at the Mundubbera Bowls Club tomorrow evening in conjunction with a seafood night prepared by Kel’s Katering.

Mundubbera Kindy committee members want this year’s Christmas in the Park to be even more fantastic than last year and thank the great Mundubbera community for its support year in, year out.
