AN ENJOYABLE and informative day was held at the Eidsvold CWA rooms recently when the ladies held their International Day.

This year’s country of study was Chile and international officer Bessie Loakes organised Roslyn Payne as guest speaker.

Mrs Payne told of her experiences during a bus tour through Chile where the people were welcoming and vast differences were noticeable between the rich and poor.

She vividly described a rodeo she had attended and a feedlot she had visited, both of which were vastly different to those in Australia.

Eidsvold CWA International Day was well attended and much discussion about Chile took place over the lunch the members enjoyed together.
