Local Fishing Reports: Fishing starting to come back well. Some nice goldens being caught bobbing saltwater yabbies and caught on SMAK spinner baits in the natural colours. Boondooma Dam: Fishing has changed dramatically, fish now schooling on the edges and in about 30ft of water from Leisagangs Ledge back to the wall. White 3” soft plastics working the best fished on a 3/8oz jighead. Bjelke-Petersen Dam: Nice big golden perch being caught on SMAK Mini Cooper S in white and red/black colours casting to the deep edges. Bass really plentiful at the moment, being caught on blades around the deep points in 25ft of water. Some nice fish in the timber on live shrimp and salt water yabbies. Fishing really well. No change so get out there and enjoy the fishing while it’s good. Lake Somerset: Fishing great at the moment with mask vibes working well. Pelican Point and Queen St still the best areas to fish. Live bait has produced some nice fish as with salt water yabbies. Still no change this week.
