From the ashes
BIGGENDEN’S Lifeline store has been named shop of the year.
And the staff couldn’t be happier.
The town was devastated when in late January the Lifeline store was destroyed by fire.
Many months later it opened again, a few doors up the street, much to the delight of the community.
Supervisor Lionel Wise said he felt the award was in recognition of the effort put in to get the store back up and running.
Mr Wise said everyone had worked hard.
“It’s been a team effort,” he said.
The certificate said the award was in recognition of their extraordinary dedication and commitment to Lifeline.
TOPSTORE: Biggenden Lifeline has been named top store for the region. At a special morning tea to celebrate the news are Lionel Wise, Fayleen Schonrock, Lifeline business manager central region Andrew Armstrong, Fay Bischkopf and Wendy Wise.
