Business prepares to close its doors
MUNDUBBERA’S David Evans Group dealership will be closing its doors after the business reviewed its operational requirements in November.
The current managers, Anton and Melinda Thorburn, notified the Evans family in July of their decision to follow different career paths.
It was their intention to remain in their roles until suitable replacements were found, hopefully by the end of the year.
But no replacements were able to be found and as a result the difficult decision was made by the Evans family to close the dealership.
Back in 1990 the Mundubbera dealership was bought from the Willson family and it has served the community well since then.
David Evans Group has valued the high level of customer loyalty that has made the dealership a profitable enterprise.
As a result of the closure, an opportunity presents itself for enterprising residents to offer a similar service in the town.
Doors will close to the public on the December 31, with staff asked to remain until the end of January 2013 while the remaining stock is packed and despatched to other dealerships.
David Evans Group Mundubbera has been served well by the current staff members Lynette Kerle, Aaron Bradley, Matthew Laidler and Mark Jensen who have offered a high level of commitment and service.
CHANGE OF DIRECTION: David Evans Group Mundubbera branch will not be continuing operation in 2013 so be sure to pop in and see the friendly team, including Matthew Laidler, Aaron Bradley, Phil Mauch, Anton and Melinda Thorburn, Lynette Kerle and John Wooldridge before the doors close.
