GAYNDAH TUESDAY Veterans winner was Rita Alsemgeest with 28 nett and runner up was Jan Bourke with 28 nett. Lindsay Baker had the pin shot for number 5 and Henry Gow took out the putting competition.
For the Sporters event on Thursday the winner was Jesse Geoge with 28 nett. First runner up was Jeremy Zahl with 22½ nett, second runner up was Rita Alsemgeest with 23 nett. Pinshots; 3/12 was John Morgan, 5/14 was Bev Emmerton, 7/16 was Brent Chambers, second shot on number 4 was Vic Bryant, second shot on number 6 was Jason McCosker, Accurate number 8 was Rob Randall, second shot on number 9 was Jeremy Zahl and most putts went to Greg Parr with 23. The three stick event weekend competition was Phil and James Duncan take out the competition with 59 ¼ nett. First runner ups were Rod Blake and Steve Gallagher with 59 ¾ nett. Pinshots; number 5/14 Gail Willis, number 3/12 Jeremy Zahl, number 7/ 16 Jeremy Zahl. The summer season is nowhere with nine hole competitions every Saturday. Hit off is 3pm. MONTO SATURDAY’S event was a 9 hole Stableford event followed by the recognition of Championship winners for 2012. Ladies: Club Champion – Leesa Ison. Foursome – Leesa Ison and Natasha Howlett. Men: Club Champion – Shane Taylor. B Grade Champion – Craig Hampson. C Grade Champion – Eddie Anderson. A Grade Match Play – Shane Taylor. B Grade Match Plat – Damien Zieth. C Grade Match Play – Adam Fletcher. Foursome – Boyd Johnston and Laurie Barnett. Mixed: Mixed Foursome – Shane Taylor and Leesa Ison. George Augenstein (Jnr) played well to win the event with 24 points followed by Tony Dillon on 20 and Roy Marbach 19. Sunday – Stableford for a Club trophy: 1st – Damien Zieth 40. 2nd – John Lynn 39. 3rd – Shane Taylor 39 (par round). Run Down: Adrian Kummerfeld 38. Paul Ir- vine 37. Leesa Ison 37. Pin and Approach Shots: No 3 – Wal Wilkes (35cm). No 9 – Shane Taylor (2.10m). Sunday golf will continue as 18 hole Stableford events over the summer break with hit off from 12.30.
