Sportsman moves on

Central and North Burnett Times - - SCHOOL NEWS -

SINCE moving to Mundubbera as a teacher four years ago, Hayden Ryan has left his mark on the community.

The health and physical education teacher was quickly pursued by a number of sporting teams in town.

In his first 12 months he was involved in seven-a-side cricket, touch football, squash, golf, weekly cricket and a number of one-off sporting events.

Mr Ryan’s commitment to involving his students in new and interesting experiences saw him forge strong relationships with parents and business owners.

It was these relationships, he thinks, that helped get events like the school ski trip started.

Next year Mr Ryan will continue with his teaching at Mary Valley State College in Imbil.

“I have loved every minute of my time here,” he said.

“Mundubbera is a very strong and very proud community.”

FAREWELL: Hayden Ryan.
