Achieve­ments recog­nised

DAL­LARNIL State School recog­nised its achiev­ers with the pre­sen­ta­tion of awards af­ter the school con­cert.

Next year’s Prep stu­dents also re­ceived cer­tifi­cates.

Gifts were pre­sented to Lea Kotevski, known as “Miss K”, who has been trans­ferred to Her­vey Bay af­ter three years at Dal­larnil, along with Julie Waples, who has been the ad­min­is­tra­tion of­fi­cer for eight years.

Ge­off Parker pre­sented de­sign and tech­nol­ogy cer­tifi­cates to Year 7 stu­dents Grace Sar­ent, Aaron Kelly and Emily Spry.

Known as the “three mus­ke­teers”, the trio has been farewelled from the school.

The Year 7 stu­dents have been to­gether since they started preschool at Biggen­den.

“We have had some fan­tas­tic times dur­ing th­ese past seven years,” prin­ci­pal An­drea Kelly said.

The QRFS es­say com­pe­ti­tion was won by Zoe McMeekin in Year 5, Brit­ney Spry in Year 6 and Emily Spry in Year 7.

Dal­larnil RF rep Max Pearce said all the stu­dents were win­ners.

“If peo­ple took no­tice ofwhat the stu­dents wrote, then it would make our jobs a lot eas­ier,” he said.

Grace Sar­gent won the Neil Delly Me­mo­rial Award.

To fos­ter sav­ings, Bendigo Bank pre­sented each of the stu­dents with a $25 bank ac­count to start their sav­ings. ■ For the full list of win­ners and more pho­tos, go to south bur­nett­
